The New 2019 Ford Ranger Makes Its Return to North America

The Ford Ranger is back! It’s been seven years since the compact pickup made its debut and seven years of Ranger fans asking for its return to North America. Since its successful performance in foreign markets, Ford developed a truck that would return to North America. The 2019 Ford Ranger was finally unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and will go into production later this year.

During the recession in America, the F-150 was the big moneymaker while the Ranger’s sales continued to drop. It wasn’t soon after that Ford decided to discontinue this model and focus their attention on the F-150 and other SUVs. Now with truck and SUV sales on the rise, and truck fans asking for its return, it’s not a surprise that Ford has finally brought the Ranger back.

“The Ranger has always held a special place in the hearts of truck fans,” said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford executive vice president, Product Development and Purchasing. “The all-new Ranger is designed for today’s midsize truck buyer, delivering even more utility, capability, and technology for those who blend city living with more off-the-grid adventures on weekends.”

This 2019 pickup will have a 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission—no manual option just yet. When you pair these two together, you’ll have one of the most versatile, powerful, and efficient powertrains in the segment.

The Ranger will always be ready for adventure. The FX4 Off-Road Package will feature the Terrain Management System, similar to the Raptor’s, with four drive modes—normal, grass, gravel and snow, mud and ruts, and sand.

With advanced driver-assist technologies, including Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, a Reverse Sensing System, and class-exclusive Blind Spot Information System with trailer coverage, you’ll always feel safe and in control.

As details of the new 2019 Ford Ranger become available, we will be sure to update you. Make sure you are following our blog posts at Larry H. Miller Super Ford to stay in the loop. This new model is expected to hit showrooms in early 2019. In the meantime, stop by the dealership to chat with a member of our sales team. They’d be happy to share in your enthusiasm and give you further details about the return of America’s beloved pickup.

Five Reasons Why We’re Thankful for Ford Trucks

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the things that we should be thankful for and there’s no doubt that many of us are thankful to be truck owners. Without our Ford trucks, we wouldn’t be able to get to go on awesome off-roading adventures, get certain jobs done, or drive in style. Check out why we’re thankful for our pickups.

Strength
The F-150 has a very advanced powertrain lineup. The F-150 is fully equipped to smooth out the toughest of workdays and make every job as productive as possible. It can tow more than ever before with the available 3.5L EcoBoost® twin-turbo V6 engine. This second-generation EcoBoost® is stocked with 375 horsepower and best-in-class* 470 lb.-ft. of torque, beating out all gas and diesel competitors.*

Great for All Road Conditions
Whether you’re out enjoying your off-roading adventures or paving your way through the snowy roads, your Ford pickup has your back. The Raptor has extreme all-terrain handling. The awesome handling comes courtesy of the factory-equipped Torque-On-Demand® transfer case and BFGoodrich® all-terrain KO2 tires. The Terrain Management System™ with six driver-selectable modes (Normal, Baja, Rock Crawl, Sport, Mud-Sand, Wet-Snow) and Hill Descent Control™, makes driving a piece of cake.

Safety
Vehicle safety comes standard at Ford. The F-150 comes equipped with a rearview camera with dynamic hitch assist, trailer sway control with AdvanceTrac® Roll Stability Control™, curve control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, and much more. Ford engineers have gone to great lengths to make sure your vehicle is easy to operate and safe to drive.

Storage
With the holidays coming up, a Ford truck is the perfect vehicle to go shopping in. With Black Friday and Christmas around the corner, you’re going to need all the space you can get for that new Christmas tree and all those killer deals you’ll be taking advantage of. The F-150 provides lots of space for storage both inside and out.

Dependability
Lastly, we are thankful for Ford’s history of dependability. As Ford continues to innovate and create great vehicles for us, we are very grateful for their determination to create these awesome trucks that make our lives so much easier.
