Three Reasons You'll Fall in Love With Ford

To many of us, February is the month of love. We believe there can never be too much love in the world and it should be celebrated every day. But since it is the month of romance, we want to talk about why it’s the perfect time to fall in love with a Ford. Here are three reasons we think this is the brand for you.

Commitment to Education
Not only does Ford make awesome vehicles, they use their resources to help the community. Recently, the automaker awarded $50,000 to six high school student teams that won this year’s Ford STEAM High School Community Challenge. This challenge required students to design projects using STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) to positively impact and improve their local communities. Programs like these provide students with the opportunity to get hands-on experience and help them start thinking about going into the field of technology.

Meets Growing Demand
One thing that Ford is good at is listening to their customers and meeting their needs. With the growing demand of SUVs, Ford introduced a new full-size Expedition that will meet the needs of millennials and their demand for more space. They have also introduced the first-ever EcoSport—a CUV designed to meet the demand of Baby Boomers who are looking to downsize.

So Many Choices
Ford has a vehicle that can fit any need. From sedans to trucks and everything in between, you can find the perfect vehicle to fit your lifestyle. Whether you have a big family or run a business, this auto manufacturer produces all types of vehicles to get the job done. Small, compact sedans, full-size sedans, CUVs, SUVs, heavy-duty pickup trucks, and trucks and vans for commercial businesses—you name it, they have it.

As you can see, Ford is all about the people. This company is about giving and they do a great job at it. Their commitment to the community, building new-and-improved vehicles, and listening to what their customers want are great reasons to fall in love with this company. Are you feeling the love? The New 2019 Ford Ranger Makes Its Return to North America

The Ford Ranger is back! It’s been seven years since the compact pickup made its debut and seven years of Ranger fans asking for its return to North America. Since its successful performance in foreign markets, Ford developed a truck that would return to North America. The 2019 Ford Ranger was finally unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and will go into production later this year.

During the recession in America, the F-150 was the big moneymaker while the Ranger’s sales continued to drop. It wasn’t soon after that Ford decided to discontinue this model and focus their attention on the F-150 and other SUVs. Now with truck and SUV sales on the rise, and truck fans asking for its return, it’s not a surprise that Ford has finally brought the Ranger back.

“The Ranger has always held a special place in the hearts of truck fans,” said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford executive vice president, Product Development and Purchasing. “The all-new Ranger is designed for today’s midsize truck buyer, delivering even more utility, capability, and technology for those who blend city living with more off-the-grid adventures on weekends.”

This 2019 pickup will have a 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission—no manual option just yet. When you pair these two together, you’ll have one of the most versatile, powerful, and efficient powertrains in the segment.

The Ranger will always be ready for adventure. The FX4 Off-Road Package will feature the Terrain Management System, similar to the Raptor’s, with four drive modes—normal, grass, gravel and snow, mud and ruts, and sand.

With advanced driver-assist technologies, including Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, a Reverse Sensing System, and class-exclusive Blind Spot Information System with trailer coverage, you’ll always feel safe and in control.

As details of the new 2019 Ford Ranger become available, we will be sure to update you. Make sure you are following our blog posts at Larry H. Miller Super Ford to stay in the loop. This new model is expected to hit showrooms in early 2019. In the meantime, stop by the dealership to chat with a member of our sales team. They’d be happy to share in your enthusiasm and give you further details about the return of America’s beloved pickup.

To Buy or Not to Buy: Here’s the Low-Down on Used Cars

The idea of buying a new car is alluring for countless reasons. It’s yours, and it’s never been anyone else’s. Bottom line: buying new comes with the shameless pride of owning something cutting-edge and envy-inducing. But the benefits of buying used can save you money, give you that same feeling of buying new (yes, it’s true), and provide you with reliable transportation well into the future.

1.     You’re going to save money—a lot of money. On average, used cars are usually priced around 50 percent less than new cars. The benefit of buying used becomes even more evident when you learn that a new car loses around 20 percent of its value as soon as you drive it off the lot and another 10 percent during the first year of ownership.
2.     The majority of the depreciation has already happened. By purchasing a used vehicle, you skip the 30 percent depreciation that occurs in the first year.
3.     You’re still going to be driving a reliable vehicle. The fact is that cars are lasting a lot longer than they did in previous decades. According to research done by IHS Automotive in 2016, the average car in the U.S. will last for over 11 years. If a customer is still hesitant to buy a used car, they can opt for to buy a certified pre-owned vehicle. That means a car has gone through a rigorous checklist to make sure it’s reliable and meets manufacturer standards.
4.     You’re going to save even more money. The savings don’t end when you purchase a used vehicle. A used vehicle is worthless, so it costs less to insure. Additionally, the cost to register a used vehicle is going to be less every year.
5.     You’re going to help save the environment. Almost 25 percent of the carbon footprint created by a car comes from the manufacturing and shipping process. So, purchasing a used vehicle reduces the carbon footprint when compared to buying a newer model.

New cars smell great, but let’s face it. Nothing beats the smell of extra money in your wallet, which is exactly what you’ll have when you purchase a used vehicle.  If you’re still unsure about your potential car purchase, meet with our sales team at Larry H. Miller Super Ford to see which options will best fit your needs. We’ll make sure you get a great car for a price that will have you and your bank account smiling for years to come.
