Three Fun Ways You Can Enjoy Fall in Utah

Before you know it, you’ll be seeing yellows, oranges, and reds at every corner. When this happens, fall is officially in full swing in Utah. If you are a Utah local, you know that Mother Nature plays a big role in the change of seasons and it doesn’t always happen when you expect it to. When the weather starts to get chilly, people are quick to change their wardrobe to sweaters and boots to make the best of their favorite season. Fall is a beautiful and fun season and we’re excited to share three of our favorite ways to enjoy it in Utah.

Snowbird’s Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest at Snowbird is held annually packed with family-friendly activities, beautiful mountain views, authentic German food, and beer! Oktoberfest runs from August 12 to October 15 and attracts over 60,000 visitors, one of largest festivals in Utah. You can enjoy this fun event during the summer or fall, but our favorite time is in the fall when we can enjoy the colorful views in the mountains and during our drive there.

Fall Scenic Drives
Utah is great because we can truthfully say that we get all four seasons here. Each season has something special to offer, and fall has won our hearts. To enjoy the full fall experience, you need to drive into the mountains and embrace the enchanting views throughout Utah.  No matter where you go in Utah, there is something to see. Essentially it is a never-ending scenic drive. Utah.com has compiled a list of must-drive scenic routes for you to enjoy during this fall season.

Utah Football Game
It’s that time of year again. When fall is here, football season comes with it. Since Utah doesn’t have a team in the NFL, college football will have to do. In Salt Lake, college football is HUGE! On game days, you will see a flood of people dressed all in red, tailgating, and ready to cheer on their beloved Utes! If you’ve never been to a Utah Utes college football game, you really need to hop on the bandwagon and attend a live game at least once during the season. Utah fans are extremely loyal and it’s fun to see people come together to cheer on their favorite team.

With fall and football season finally here, there’s nothing better than tailgating or taking a scenic drive in a brand new 2017 Ford F-150. The F-150 is a great vehicle for all of these fall activities but is reliable year-round. Come by Larry H. Miller Super Ford in Salt Lake City and take a test drive today. We can’t wait to get your season started off right in a vehicle you can depend on for many seasons to come.

Five Helpful Tips for Buying a Used Vehicle

Purchasing a vehicle at some point in your life is something that we all have to face. Whether you choose to purchase a new or used vehicle, there are many things you have to consider; however, this is especially true when you purchase a used vehicle. Here are five helpful tips that will make your used car-buying experience a little easier.

Do Your Research
If you know the specific type of car you are looking for, make sure you check KBB.com and other websites so you know the resale value of the car. Knowing the resale value of the car you want will give you bargaining power when purchasing the vehicle.

Shop Around
Most dealerships have their used car inventory on their website so you don’t need to physically visit every single dealership you’re interested in. We recommend making a list of at least three cars you want to check out in case your first option doesn’t work out. This way you aren’t wasting time at the dealership because you’ve done your research beforehand.

Test Drive the Vehicle
Test driving a used car is a great way to know if the car is a right fit for you. You may think you want a certain car, but after test driving the car you might decide that you don’t like the way it feels. It is always a good rule of thumb to test drive a couple of different vehicles and compare them.

Do a Background Check on the Vehicle
If you aren’t buying the vehicle from a someone you know and trust, it’s a good idea to get a vehicle history report. Carfax.com is a well-known source for vehicle history reports. These reports are detailed and can reveal vital information about the car including any accidents they have been in, odometer readings, the existence of a branded title (salvage/junk), and more. Once you have an idea of the vehicle’s background, it can help you make a good decision about whether you want to purchase it or not.

Negotiating
Doing your research plays a big part in negotiating a deal. Knowing the price range on similar vehicles will help you negotiate a deal pretty quickly. Let the salesperson know that you’ve done your research so you have facts to support your offer.
